Ladies' Group to the Rescue!

Thursday Morning Ladies' Group

When the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY rescued 19 cats and one dog from an abandoned Auburn home in late May, they put out an urgent call for donations of needed items - a call that was answered by the agency's Thursday morning Ladies' Group.

Assisted by Sara Lewis, Social Worker with the agency's Karl D. Warner Clinic, these wonderful women made a list of the requested items and then asked staff, friends, and neighbors to choose something they would like to donate (after contributing themselves, of course!).

The Ladies did a fantastic job of collecting cat food, cat litter, dishes, toys, towels, bleach and more. Shelter kitten Sebastian paid the Ladies a visit a few weeks ago and accepted the donations on behalf of the shelter. Staff of the shelter are very grateful to these ladies and we are very proud of them!
