
The Community Recreation Program provides a variety of stimulating and enjoyable activities for people of all ages. The program is designed to enhance the overall attitude and self-esteem of each individual, while providing an opportunity for building strong, healthy friendships. Children, teens and adults enjoy specific activities and special events geared toward their age group, increasing independence and involvement in their community. All recreation activities are supervised by trained staff and provide for personal safety, social stimulation and increased personal independence.
Children's Community Recreation provides supervised activities in the community. Fun and relaxed learning experiences reflect the needs and interests of children and their families. Activities may include horseback riding, swimming, hands-on centers, cooking and arts & crafts.
Adult Community Recreation assists people in accessing the social and recreational opportunities in their community. Adults can choose from several scheduled activities each month which may include bowling, dancing, swimming, shopping, arts & crafts, theater, festivals and sporting events.
The Teen Group provides a positive social opportunity for teens to spend quality time with peers in their own community. Small group activities are planned based on the interests of the group. Supportive staff provide direction and guidance.

Opportunities are provided for individuals to participate in local, regional and state Special Olympics programs throughout the year. Participants enjoy a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, softball, swimming, track & field, bocce and golf.
